In the first semi-final on Tuesday at NPTS ground, Police Complex Ch\u00fcmoukedima, Peren defeated Phek 2-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Peren started on high note and were rewarded when Lamsanngin, (Jersey No. 27) scored in the 4th minute. However, the spirited Phek fought back and found the equaliser through Yhoto in the 29 minute. The first half ended 1-1.<br>After the lemon break, both teams came back with renewed enthusiasm and displayed tactful skills and energies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>This time again, Peren managed to extend the lead when Winamthiu, Jersey No. 10 converted from a spot kick in the 75th minute.<br>Phek put all efforts to equalise but failed to find the back of the net in the stipulated time as Peren on the other hand managed to hold their line till the final whistle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In the second semi-final match, Ch\u00fcmoukedima beat defending champions Dimapur 6-5 on penalties after the match ended in 1-1 draw in regulated time. In a highly contested match, Dimapur found the back of the net in the 30 minutes through the boots of Ghuqhe, Jersey No. 9. The first half ended 1-0 in favour of Dimapur. However, the spirited Ch\u00fcmoukedima came stronger and made several efforts to find the equaliser. Dimapur, on the other defended well, giving hardly any chance for Ch\u00fcmoukedima. The efforts of Ch\u00fcmoukedima did not go in vain as it succeeded to score the equalizer in the dying minutes through Limakumzuk, Jersey No. 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In the additional time of 15 minutes both teams failed to score. The winner was then decided through penalty shootout where Ch\u00fcmoukedima prevailed Dimapur 6-5.
