Shakira has been \u201crebuilding herself\u201d with her brand new album. The 47-year-old Latin pop star – who split from footballer Gerard Piqu\u00e9 in 2022 after more than a decade together – has so far released 11 studio albums since she was a teenager and announced on Thursday (15.02.22) that her \u2018Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran\u2019 will be out on March 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said: \u201cMaking this body of work has been an alchemical process. While writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.\u201d
The \u2018Whenever, Wherever\u2019 hitmaker recently gave fans a glimpse of what is to come during her Super Bowl commercial teaser and the new record will feature eight new tracks along with the previously released hit singles, including \u2018Music Sessions Vol. 53\u2019 with Bizarrap, \u2018TQG\u2019 with Karol G, \u2018Te Felicito\u2019 with Rauw Alejandro, \u2018Copa Vac\u00eda\u2019 with Manuel Turizo, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a first for the Grammy Award-winning star, the new album marks her debut release on vinyl, featuring four distinct artwork editions, each paired with an exclusive coloured vinyl variant. The Sapphire edition will be exclusively offered on Amazon, while the Ruby edition will be available solely at Target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fans can find the Emerald edition exclusively on Shakira\u2019s official website, and the Diamond edition will be stocked by all major retailers.
The \u2018She Wolf\u2019 singer has not released an album since 2017 when \u2018El Dorado\u2019 – which was mostly sung in her native Spanish\u2019 – spawned the singles \u2018Chantaje\u2019 and \u2018Me Enamor\u00e9.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to that, Shakira released the self-titled record that served as her fourth English-language album overall and it featured the hit single \u2018Can\u2019t Remember To Forget You\u2019, which featured Rihanna.
