{"id":408108,"date":"2024-02-26T00:37:02","date_gmt":"2024-02-25T19:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=408108"},"modified":"2024-02-26T00:37:06","modified_gmt":"2024-02-25T19:07:06","slug":"fnt-enpo-resolves-not-to-take-part-in-central-and-state-polls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2024\/02\/26\/fnt-enpo-resolves-not-to-take-part-in-central-and-state-polls\/","title":{"rendered":"FNT: ENPO resolves not to take part in Central and State polls"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eastern Nagaland Peoples\u2019 Organization (ENPO) has unanimously resolved \u201cnot to participate in any Central and State election\u201d against the delay to settle the offer for creation of \u2018Frontier Nagaland Territory\u2019 by government of India through the Ministry of Home Affairs.<br>This resolution was reached during a joint consultative meeting of the ENPO, federating tribal bodies, frontal organizations, talk team, and senior leaders held on February 23, 2024, at Chenmoho Village, Mon district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>ENPO further emphasized that it \u201cshall not accede to any assurance that may come up with by the MHA to be implemented after the upcoming Parliamentary election process.\u201d<br>This decision follows mass public rallies held across all seven districts and ADC headquarters within Eastern Nagaland on February 9, where thousands of people participated to demand the \u2018Frontier Nagaland Territory\u2019 (FNT) and signing of the Memorandum of Settlement (MoS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Subsequently, the respective tribal bodies submitted a memorandum to the Nagaland governor, reiterating their resolve to take their own course of action if the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Eastern Nagaland are not honored.
