Speaking at the inaugural programme as the special guest, Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) administrator, T. Lanusenla Longkumer Peseyie, said the marketing shed would benefit the farmers of the villages, who have made significant progress in the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>She also noted that the amenity centre would not only cater to the needs of the citizens of Kohima but of the travellers as well.<br>Speaking at the programme, ex-MLA, Keneizhakho Nakhro, who initiated the projects, said the main purpose of the marketing shed was to provide a platform for farmers to sell their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Nakhro said the amenity centre was constructed to address the water scarcity problem and to provide a place where people could have access to water, as well as facilities for washing, bathing and toilets. He said the centre has a rainwater harvest reservoir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The inaugural programme organised by the village councils of Jotsoma Village and Dz\u00fcdza Village was chaired by the JVC chairman, R\u00fcdolie Nagi.
