Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has launched the \u201cDonate for Congress\u201d campaign\u2014a crowdfunding initiative\u2014for electoral campaign fund of S Supongmeren Jamir, Indian National Congress and INDIA bloc consensus candidate for Nagaland\u2019s lone Lok Sabha seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee through its communications department stated freezing of Congress party\u2019s bank accounts by the union government was not just an act of \u201cinter party political upmanship\u201d, but an assault on the democratic rights of the common people of India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NPCC stated that the \u201cDonate for Congress\u201d campaign was an invitation to the voters of Nagaland to register their \u201cprotest against this wrong\u201d, and reassert the centrality of the electorates on the representational democratic processes mandated under the Constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore, NPCC has appealed to all the supporters, well-wishers of the Congress Party and every right-thinking citizen of Nagaland, who believes in the preservation of a free and fair playing field in the electioneering process, to contribute generously and make it count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
