The buildings were located within the boundaries of government Polytechnic Institute, Kohima. Official sources said that Monday\u2019s demolition drive was undertaken after several notices were issued by the government to the occupants for over two years. An eviction notice was issued later in 2010 where the occupants were made to stay till April 2010 on humanitarian grounds.
