As per a weather update issued by joint CEO NSDMA Johnny Ruangmei, cyclone Remal made landfall over south Bangladesh and was currently observed as a deep depression over the North Eastern region, particularly impacting eastern parts of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>From May 27 to 29, wind speeds could range from moderate to strong across many parts of Nagaland.<br>Further, until the first week of June, fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms have been predicted for many areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>NSDMA has requested the DDMAs and line departments to be on alert and vigilant as the monsoon season was approaching the state, besides urging the public to refrain from fishing, picnicking, etc, during the monsoon season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Under the impact of the cyclonic storm Remal, Nagaland is expected to receive moderate rainfall with occasional heavy spells in the coming week.
