In a statement, Along Longkumer convener, TNR and secretary Khriezo Yhome emphasized on the need to move beyond reconciliation and focus on power-sharing, advocating for a shift from reconciliation to the formation of a single national government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The Naga Concordant, signed on August 26, 2011, by Isak Chishi Swu, Th Muivah, Khole Konyak, Kitovi Zhimomi, S Singnya, and Zhopra Vero, echoed the public\u2019s strong sentiment for \u201cone government, one tax.\u201d TNR argued that reviving this agreement would align with public sentiment and facilitate the convergence of parallel talks, potentially leading to a single, comprehensive agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>TNR highlighted the urgency of the situation, noting that the reconciliation process had stalled, leaving the public frustrated. They stressed the need for bold decisions, increased public engagement, and transparency to develop a new approach. This, they believe, would build the necessary support and public pressure to execute the action plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Marking the 15th anniversary of the Covenant of Reconciliation (CoR) on Sunday, TNR expressed gratitude to the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) for its relentless efforts to end violence among Naga armed groups. TNR acknowledged FNR\u2019s significant contributions to peace-building during a tumultuous period of chaos and destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>TNR also praised the vision and courage of the CoR signatories, recognizing their commitment to reconciliation. However, TNR noted that the full potential of Naga reconciliation had not been realized and questioned who should be held accountable for this shortfall. They urged the Naga community, particularly the FNR and Naga political groups (NPGs), to reflect sincerely on these issues to make progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>TNR warned that the ceasefire had created an environment of division and confusion, suggesting that an honorable solution would only be possible if the Naga people united.
