Konyak on June 16. Ganesan said that late M.C. Konyak was a sincere, committed and gentle leader who worked hard for the welfare of the society. His dedication, kindness and unwavering commitment to serving others have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him, he said, adding that his legacy of love, faith and service will continue to inspire all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Ganesan, on behalf of the people of Nagaland and on his own behalf, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. Governor also prayed that Almighty God grant peace and solace and grant strength to overcome this irreparable loss and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.<br>Ex-PAN: Ex-Parliamentarian Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) expressed shock and pain at the sudden demise of one of its former member and former minister M.C. Konyak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Ex-PAN president Joshua Sumi and general secretary Tarie Zeliang said that late M.C. Konyak had been a member of the Ex-PAN since 2013 till date and had been an active participant in the activities of the association providing invaluable advice and support during his association with Ex-PAN. The association said that his passing was a great loss to the Ex-PAN family,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Ex-PAN said that having represented his people as a member of the Nagaland Assembly from 2003-2013, late Konyak discharged his responsibilities by working tirelessly for the welfare and uplift of the Konyaks and the Nagas, adding that his demise was not only a loss to the Konyak community in particular but also the Nagas in general. Ex-PAN conveyed heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Riezekhrieno and the bereaved family and prayed that God grant them comfort and strength as they mourn the loss of a beloved husband, father and grandfather and also prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>MP: <\/strong>Lok Sabha MP and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president S Supongmeren Jamir has expressed deep shock and sadness at the untimely demise of his former colleague and former minister MC Konyak on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In a condolences message, Jamir said Konyak\u2019s untimely demise was a great loss to his family, the entire Eastern Naga community and the people of Nagaland.<br>He expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>ENPUK: <\/strong>Eastern Nagaland Peoples Union Kohima (ENPUK) also expressed deep pain and shock over the sudden demise of M. Chinge Konyak, the first president of Tuensang Mon Union Kohima (TMUK).<br>In a press note, ENPUK president N Toshi Chang and general secretary Shahsha L Phom said that late MC Konyak served as the first president of the erstwhile TMUK from June 21, 2001 but resigned on October 19, 2002 to enter politics. He contested the Assembly elections in 2003 and got elected with the mandate of his people and was inducted as parliamentary secretary in the 10th House of NLA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>He was one among many leaders who was dearly loved by the people from all walks of life, ENPUK stated. \u201cHe will be remembered for his legacy of sincerity, dedication, hard work, honest, frank and stability in his Leadership treasured with wisdom and God fearing man,\u201d it added.<br>Further, ENPUK said that the history of his footprint will always be remembered by the people of Eastern Nagaland and the void left behind by one of the pioneers would be hard to fill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In this time of pain, ENPUK said the people of Eastern Nagaland in Kohima stand with the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to grant solace and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>KGOU: <\/strong>Konyak Gazetted Officers\u2019 Union (KGOU) has expressed deep sadness over the demise of one of its pioneer members Konyak.<br>In a condolence message, KGOU president Er. Chinglang said Konyak was a highly accomplished and distinguished figure, who was elected to the 10th and 11th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, and served as the cabinet minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The union said he would be remembered and honoured for his notable services in building and strengthening the Konyak communities, the Kohima Konyak community in particular, adding that his death was not only an immense loss for the Konyak community but for many fraternities across the state<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>KGOU also expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying that the Almighty God grant them solace and strength to overcome the phase of grief and for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>KUM: <\/strong>Konyak Union Myanmar (KUM) has expressed deep shock at the demise of the former minister MC Konyak. Conveying heartfelt condolences, KUM in a statement said the Eastern Konyak people acknowledged MC Konyak\u2019s support for being a blood relation, and described him as backbone for the Eastern Konyak community without any distinction based on the imaginary international boarder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The union said Konyak\u2019s death had left a vacuum for the Konyak people as a whole. Although it could not attend the funeral service due communication issues, it mourned his death along with the Konyak community.
