Senden asks NSCN (Khango) to withdraw death threat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ao Senden has condemned \u2018death penalty\/capital punishment\u2019 served on proprietor of M\/s KKB R\u00fclho, K R\u00fclho by NSCN-K (Khango). The Ao Senden has termed the death penalty served on K Rulho, proprietor of M\/s KKB, and directive to all contractors under the purview of Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) to immediately cease activities and demobilise their manpower and machineries currently deployed across other districts as uncalled for, describing this an act of uncivilised bruteness and severity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Condemning these actions of NSCN-K (Khango) in the strongest of terms, Ao Senden president Marsanen Imsong and general secretary Imtipokyim asked the group to withdraw its \u201csenseless death penalty\u201d and stoppage of operations by all contractors under the purview of AYO in other districts of Nagaland<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Ao Senden urged both AYO and NSCN-K (Khango) to give due diligence to the problem in hand and come to an amicable solution without escalating it further.
The Senden also appealed all Naga political factions and all sections of Naga people to adhere to the principles of peace, oneness, empathy and development as a common goal, and not act as denominators amongst Nagas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


At a time of deep quiet and peace in Nagaland with no internecine conflicts, fatally or non fatally, and the hopes and aspirations of the people focused on the impending solution to the vexed and protracted Naga problem, Ao Senden said they were yet again awakened by a rude jolting into the world of disquiet and conflict that belied the present calmness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cIs it a false calmness and hope for peace? What lies behind if this curtain of present calmness and hope for peace is blown away like a mist?\u201d the Senden wondered. Ao senden emphasised that at the present moment no ugly pariah should rear its head high up into the sky and dim the shine of calmness and hope for peace, bringing the dark cloud of conflict into the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NDH says, bounden duty of our community to defend our son<\/strong>
Nerhemia Dzevi Houzha (NDH), comprising Nerhema, Nerhe-Phezha, and Nerhe-Model village, condemned the death threat issued to Kezhaleo R\u00fclho, proprietor of M\/s KKB R\u00fclho, by NSCN\/GPRN-K (Khango).<\/p>\n\n\n\n


In a statement, NDH vice president Kekhriengulie Theunuo and secretary Er. TS Angami lauded the Angami Youth Organization (AYO) for spearheading the movement.
They said that the intimidation against R\u00fclho, a respected member of the Nerhema community, was not only a personal attack but also a direct affront to the entire community, adding that it was the \u201cbounden duty of our community to defend our son.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n


NDH said that even within the framework of legal law and justice designed to protect citizens, capital punishment, even for the worst crimes, was the most severe and irreversible harm.
While it meant to deliver justice and deter crime, NDH raised deep ethical concerns and highlighted the extent of state power over life. NDH said issuing such a threat without considering its severity demeans and insults the entire group NSCN\/GPRN (Khango) represents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


NDH underscored the long history of sacrifices made by Nerhema village in the Naga struggle for political independence, stating that these sacrifices were a testament to their commitment to the cause. They also noted R\u00fclho\u2019s contributions to the community as a successful businessman and recognized his achievement of being awarded the \u201cBest Performance Contractor\u201d by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) in Delhi by Gen. V. K. Singh (Retd), minister of state for Road Transport & Highways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


NDH said that threats and intimidation against such prominent figures reveal the vulnerabilities faced by those who contribute significantly to society. These actions not only threaten personal security but also undermine the values of respect and integrity necessary for societal progress and cohesion, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


NDH expressed its unwavering support to AYO in the fight against such threats or any form of unlawful activities carried out by any group in the name of Naga political struggle. They called on all right-thinking citizens to join the movement to eliminate such practices for the betterment of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RPP slams state govt for passing the buck to CFMG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rising People\u2019s Party (RPP) has condemned the death penalty served on proprietor of M\/s KKB R\u00fclho by the NSCN (Khango), and the NDPP-BJP coalition for passing the buck to the Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG) and Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB) on the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Stating that the civil society organisations (CSOs), including youth bodies and the business\/trade bodies, need not by-pass the government, RPP president Joel Naga and vice-president Vitho Zao accused the state government of totally failing to maintain law and order in the state, pointing out that this was a state subject, not the outlook of CFMG\/CFSB. RPP alleged that the Neiphiu Rio-led NPF government after coming to power in 2003 adopted a policy of \u201cequi-closeness\u201d with all factional groups, which at the time numbered only four to five. This policy, RPP argued, legitimized these factions and their anti-people activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


RPP further alleged that the Central government exploited this policy to implement a \u201cdivide and rule\u201d policy, leading to the proliferation of factional groups in the state, which now number 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


While alleging that it had also given \u201coperational freedom to the factions\u201d over the past 21 years, RPP criticized the state government for once again deflecting responsibility to CFMG\/CFSB.
They reminded also the deputy chief minister that anti-social elements should not merely be requested to refrain from anti-people activities, but arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


According RPP, the unwillingness of the political leadership to give a free hand to the state police force continued. They held that the police were more than capable of tackling the issue of extortion within a weeks\u2019 time, but today no organisation was willing to bell the cat called the state government.
