A joint meeting of PCC\/ CLP members, DCC presidents and frontal organizations held on October 11 at Congress Bhavan Kohima expressed appreciation to Sonia Gandhi, president, AICC for appointing K.V. Pusa as president, NPCC and for endorsing Chingwang Konyak, MLA as CLP leader and resolved to fully support their leadership.\nZhachilhu Vadeo, vice president (admn), NPCC in a release said the joint meeting seriously viewed the current situation prevailing in the state under the ‘very nose’ of the state administration and urged the people to ‘wake up’ and ponder over the future. Stating that ‘killings have become a daily routine’ he added ‘appeals, resolutions, processions and demonstrations’ have lost their meaning in Nagaland.
\nDiscussing the need to accelerate developmental activities to promote economic developmental and attract investments in Nagaland, the meet also expressed serious concern over the present law and order scenario, which has created a negative environment for investors, both national and international. “This impediment needs to be removed through concrete efforts by all concerned” it said.
\nThe meet stressed on the need to understand the progenitors in dealing with the present malaise and opined the best way to counter\/ present a noble idea against the rigid political dogma, is to garner public opinions on a concrete structure or blue print, which can be a road map to bring an honourable solution to the vexatious problem which the Nagas face today. In view of such, the meet focused on the crucial need for the Nagas to work out a political framework to accommodate the views of all and own it as a common Naga heritage.
\nThe house also resolved to continue its protest against the atrocities perpetuated on the Christian Community in several states of the country and demanded banning of VHP and Bajrang Dal for restoration of communal harmony in the country.
\nFurther, the house also demanded the DAN Government to declare their position clear before the Naga people as to whether they will continue to work hand in hand with anti-Christian forces in the State.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
