The Chakhesang Students\u2019 Union (CSU) observed its annual \u201cBlack Day\u201d on October 3 at North Kikruma village, Phek district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
.This commemoration honoured the memory of Lt. Achikho Puro, former Games and Sports Secretary of CSU (2006-2008), who was tragically killed on October 3, along with Lt. Kuzhongoyo Puro, Lt. Kuvetso Kezo, and Lt. Avo Kezo, by the combined forces of NSCN-K and FGN Non-Accordist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A press release from CSU informed that president of Naga Students\u2019 Federation, Medovi Rhi delivered a solidarity message. He lauded the Chakhesang Students\u2019 Union for observing \u201cBlack Day\u201d in memory of four heroes who sacrificed their life for the cause of Naga sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also urged them to forgive and go forward in strengthening the Naga unity for the better future. At the event, the president of the Chakhesang Students\u2019 Union (CSU) Pfh\u00fclo Sara announced the revocation of the non-cooperation movement against the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) Non-Accordist and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-K), exercising the powers vested in the executive council by the Union Assembly\u2019s Standing Resolution No. 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This decision was made with forgiveness in mind, and the president urged all Nagas, regardless of their background or affiliation, to come together in harmony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sara in his speech also emphasized the crucial need for collective efforts to achieve a swift and enduring political solution for the Naga people, encouraging unity and cooperation among all the Nagas and relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It may be mentioned this move marks a significant step towards reconciliation and peaceful resolution, and the CSU\u2019s leadership encouraged all parties to work collaboratively towards a mutually beneficial outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event featured keynote addresses by esteemed guests, VCM & former president Kikruma Students\u2019 Union Veto Kezo; Village Council Chairman North Kikruma, Thupusuyo Tunyi; and Tribunal General & former president CSU, Mutsivoyi Kotso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme was chaired by general secretary of CSU, Kuzoto Swuro, while pastor Kuzuveyo Puro of North Kikruma Baptist Church offered the invocation and N\u00fcc\u00fch\u00fcl\u00fc Venuh pronounced the word of gratitude. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
