Stars Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock have reminisced about actually \u201chitting cars\u201d while filming the 1994 blockbuster \u201cSpeed\u201d, directed by Jan de Bont.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reeves and Bullock reunited with the director on Tuesday at Beyond Fest, where the actors recalled being \u201ca little under-informed\u201d about where the bus was steering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDon\u2019t you remember that day on the bus, though?\u201d Reeves asked, according to IndieWire
Reeves added: \u201cWhen we were crashing through all the cars on the street? I remember we were a little under-informed. We were all on the bus and then we were driving down by San Diego or something. We were set by the ocean, and all of a sudden, we\u2019re actually hitting cars. Boom! Boom! Everyone on their bus lost their mind. People were screaming.\u201d
Although she noted that she \u201cdid get my Santa Monica bus driver\u2019s license,\u201d Bullock noted that she \u201cnever, never\u201d actually drove in the movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not an easy vehicle to maneuver,\u201d she added, reports deadline.com. The actress said: \u201cThe fun part was that I was at the helm of the bus, but in the back, there was someone driving along the roof. Someone was driving, and I was being careened into whatever (director) Jan (de Bont) felt I needed to smash into.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Speed, Reeves essayed the role of police officer Jack Traven, who has to prevent a city bus from exploding with the help of passenger Bullock\u2019s Annie Porter, as a bomb on board will detonate if the vehicle drops below 50 mph.
