Patkai Christian College (PCC) Department of Mass Communication is celebrating a momentous milestone with the Golden Jubilee Edition of the CAMPUS 4.0 Film Festival under the theme \u201cBeyond Lights, Camera, Action: Resonating Stories.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The inaugural event was held on Monday at the college\u2019s Bundrock Hall auditorium and will culminate on October 30. The festival opened with an air of excitement and anticipation as students, faculties, and film enthusiasts gathered to witness the creative talents of PCC\u2019s budding filmmakers. The three-day event promises a rich lineup of films, workshops, and interactive sessions aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation for the art of storytelling through cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was graced by Film Association of Nagaland (FAN) Yapangnaro Longkumer, as the guest of honour. In her address, Longkumer emphasized on the uniqueness of storytelling in filmmaking. \u201cAt the crust of every story, there is a film. No two ideas will be the same; the character, dialogue, and scene will differ. Don\u2019t feel your stories are stale; each of us has a different story to tell\u201d, she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She highlighted the immense effort that goes into filmmaking and encouraged aspiring filmmakers not to underestimate their work. \u201cIt\u2019s a lot of hard work that goes into the film. We are not giving enough credit, but that\u2019s something we can work on. Filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and I wish that it continues. All the best to everyone involved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PCC principal Dr. Thepfuvilie Pieru applauded the Mass Communication department for their dedication and hard work in organizing the event. He noted that the annual film festival has improved each year, reflecting the teamwork within the department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe success of any group project or program depends on teamwork. Teamwork makes the dream work, but sometimes a vision can become a nightmare when the leader lacks enthusiasm,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He elaborated on the importance of teamwork in organizing such events, mentioning several principles that contribute to a successful team: the law of significance, the law of the big picture, the law of the needs, the law of the catalyst, and the law of bad apple. These principles, he suggested, are crucial in ensuring that the team\u2019s collective efforts lead to success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The festival, which showcased a range of films produced by students, served as a platform for young filmmakers to present their work and gain valuable feedback from industry professionals. It also provided an opportunity for the college community to come together and celebrate the art of storytelling through film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the highlights of the festival was the recognition of outstanding films and performances. Award was bagged by \u2018Who\u2019 directed by Verte Nuh and consolation prizes by \u2018Redacted\u2019 directed by Aditya Moda, \u2018Kasadaru\u2019 directed by Ravichandran and \u2018The weight of silence directed\u2019 by The Tetso Drama Club. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
