Deputy Commissioner (DC) Niuland has urged the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) to carry out cleaning and beautification of Dimapur bypass four-lane highway stretch falling under Niuland district jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a letter to the general manager, NHIDCL, PMU-Dimapur, the DC Niuland, Sara S Jamir stated that most of four lane road between Khatkhati CRPF Group Centre Charali (Dimapur Bypass 4 Lane Highway) till Chumuokedima Patkai Bridge fell under Niuland district jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DC Niuland stated that the particular stretch of road required immediate cleaning, beautification and maintenance since majority of the commuters were using the road starting October 1, 2024 as the repair and renovation of the road over bridge (ROB) near Hotel Tragopan Dimapur, was underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, DC stated that with the festive season and Hornbill Festival due in the month of December, many tourists would be taking the road to visit other districts of Nagaland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore, DC has urged the NHIDCL to ensure that the dense vegetation on the shoulders of the Highway and dividers were uprooted to avoid any distraction in the driving visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DC also asked the corporation to ensure that road signages were clearly visible to the commuters, road and divider markings re-painted, road side plants nurtured well, pot holes repaired etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DC office would be monitoring the work for further necessary action with the government.
Requesting the NHIDCL to begin the work at the earliest on priority, DC Niuland has assured to extend all necessary cooperation and assistance should there be any law and order concerns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
