DSC: <\/strong>Dimapur S\u00fcmi Council (DSC) has expressed deep grief and outrage over what it described as \u201csenseless murder\u201d of a young theological student Noghuvi Sumi, whose life was tragically cut short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DSC through its president Shikuto Yeptho and press secretary D Jonah Achumi stated that murder is a repressible crime that violated the fundamental right to life. \u201cIt causes irreparable harm not only to the family and communities of the victim but the society as a whole,\u201d DSC stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Strongly condemning the \u201cheinous act\u201d, the council urged the responsible authorities to investigate and bring those responsible to justice.
Meanwhile, DSC conveyed its thoughts and prayers to the victim\u2019s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SKK:<\/strong> All Sumi Students\u2019 Union (SKK) expressed shock, grief and outrage over the \u201cgruesome murder\u201d of Noghuvi K Sumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement, SKK president Gihuka K Zhimo and general secretary Toshika K Kiba said that the discovery of his lifeless body, callously discarded on the roadside in Northern Angami Colony, has sent shockwaves throughout the student community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SKK stated that the heinous crime was a stark reminder of the alarming rise in violence and lawlessness in the society, adding that \u201cwe cannot remain silent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Condemning \u201cthis senseless act\u201d in the strongest possible terms, the union said that the \u201cbrutal murder of an innocent student\u201d was a chilling reminder of the dangers that the youth faced daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SKK demanded immediate action from the law enforcement agencies to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure justice for the bereaved family. \u201cA thorough and impartial investigation must be conducted, utilizing all resources to identify and bring the culprits to book,\u201d SKK demanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further, SKK urged the authorities to take concrete measures to ensure the safety and security of students in Dimapur. The union also extended condolences to the bereaved family. \u201cWe stand in solidarity with the family and friends of the deceased and assure them of our unwavering support,\u201d SKK asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DNSU: <\/strong>Dimapur Naga Students\u2019 Union (DNSU) through its president Hinoto P Aomi and general secretary Michael Kath also expressed shock and deep grief over the \u201cgruesome murder\u201d of Noghuvi K. Sumi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DNSU asserted that \u201cthis heinous act\u201d reflected a disturbing disregard for human life. The union also said that the \u201cbrutal killing of an innocent youth\u201d has sent shockwaves across the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Demanding a thorough and swift investigation into the incident, DNSU urged the responsible authorities to ensure that the perpetrators were brought to justice.
It also urged the authorities to leave no stone unturned in unravelling the truth behind Noghuvi\u2019s tragic demise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DNSU has appealed to the public to cooperate with the investigating authorities and share any information that could assist in the investigation. DNSU said it stood in solidarity with the bereaved family and friends, and demanded accountability for this heinous crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Denouncing \u201cthis brutal act\u201d committed upon its member, the association through its president Vihokhu Zhimo and general secretary Lujeka Assumi said that \u201cthis heinous act is a flagrant violation of human rights and fundamental dignity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
STA said that taking of an innocent life without fear in a Christian society was a repressible crime that cannot be justified under any circumstances, adding that such evil act had no place in Christian state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The associations urged the state law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate the crime and bring those perpetrators to justice. It also urged the authorities to ensure that the \u201cculprits\u201d faced the full weight of the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, STA has called upon all the churches and church organisations in Nagaland to condemn such unacceptable evil act in the society. It also called upon the people of the state to collectively work in creating a peace-loving society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Condemning the heinous crime, the council further demanded swift action from the law enforcements to arrest the perpetrators at the earliest and bring justice to the family.
