National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah) has issued an ultimatum, demanding third-party intervention to address what it described as India\u2019s \u201cbetrayal\u201d of the Framework Agreement\u2019s terms or else, it would be compelled to resume \u201carmed resistance\u201d to defend Nagalim\u2019s unique history and sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was contained in a statement, signed by NSCN (I-M) general secretary\/ato kilonser and chief political negotiator Th. Muivah. He alleged that the Indian government has failed to honour its commitments in the Framework Agreement, which was viewed as essential for Nagalim\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Muivah argued that the agreement explicitly recognizes Nagalim\u2019s sovereign national flag and constitution, elements which he claimed, were disregarded by the government of India.
Muivah further asserted that NSCN (I-M) would no longer pursue peaceful means due to what he called \u201cignominious betrayal\u201d by the central government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He warned that, should conflict arise, the responsibility for any adverse consequences would lie with New Delhi for breaching its commitments.
While emphasizing readiness for armed struggle, Muivah stated that the NSCN (I-M) however remained open to an \u201chonourable political settlement\u201d- provided India fully respects the Framework Agreement\u2019s terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He urged Nagalim\u2019s people to prepare for any outcome, expressing confidence in their resilience and commitment to their cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
