The five-day Dimapur Night Carnival (DNC) 2016 at Naga shopping Arcade, Dimapur came to a close on Sunday with advisor Urban Development, S.I. Jamir gracing the final day as chief guest.<\/div>\n
Dimapurians came out in thousands on the last day of the popular annual event which commenced on December 14.<\/div>\n
Addressing the gathering, Jamir in his speech lauded the organizers for their dedication and sacrifice towards making the programme a success while remarking that the carnival was a much needed space for the citizens to have fun with their friends and families during the festive season. <\/div>\n
On the occasion, Jamir called upon the citizens to unite and come together as one to take the city forward.  He hoped that next year onwards more people would join hands to make the carnival more colourful and fascinating. <\/div>\n
Jamir further extended Christmas and New Year greetings to all the citizens. <\/div>\n
Ticket No. 002349 won the Dastun Go car in the final Raffle draw. The ticket was picked by the chief guest. <\/div>\n
In this regard, the organizing committee has informed the winners of the raffle draw to bring their tickets and collect their awards on or before December 30.<\/div>\n
Meanwhile, the Best Stall Award went Temshilong Sanglir (46-C) while Wheel Club Dimapur (31-32 A) and Atsen Murry (45 E) were adjudged second and third respectively. <\/div>\n
It may be noted that DNC 2016 was jointly organized by district administration and business community including DCCI, BAN, EDBA and NSA members to provide a platform to the entrepreneurs, to provide quality family-oriented entertainment while fostering a sense of camaraderie and community among the denizens. <\/div>\n
