The \u20189th Chakhesang-S\u00fcmi Brotherhood Meet\u2019 under banner of Chakhesang Public Or-ganization (CPO) and S\u00fcmi Hoho was held on Tuesday at Pfutsero town in Phek district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This 9th meet marked 29 years celebration of Chakhesang- S\u00fcmi Brotherhood Meet, which started in 1995. The meet resolved to reiterate the resolution of CPO and S\u00fcmi Hoho at M. Ts\u00fcgho Village on the May 9, 1998 to resolve all inter-tribal and inter-village disputes between the two tribes to maintain mutual harmony and brotherhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meet unanimously resolved to dedicate Sedzu\/Yeti-Zunheboto 2 lane road to brotherhood and name Sedzu\/Yeti-Zunheboto 2 lane road as \u201cChakhesang-S\u00fcmi Brotherhood Road.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It resolved that coordination meetings between Chakhesang Gazetted Officers\u2019 Association (CGOA) & S\u00fcmi Officers\u2019 Union Nagaland (SOUN) will be organized by the two bodies at a con-venient time to further the bond of brotherhood at intellectual levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The house resolved that brotherhood meet will be organized once in every three years.
The resolution which was read out by Vihoshe Muru, convenor Joint Literature Committee also re-solved to expand the brotherhood horizon beyond brotherly tribes and work for a common aspira-tions of like-minded people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The house also resolved to endorse the Joint Literature Committee of brotherhood to properly doc-ument \u201cour history post celebration with photographic evidences and oral interviews.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, opening remarks was given by Theja Therieh, convenor, Chakhesang-S\u00fcmi Brotherhood Meet Committee while welcome address was delivered by Vez\u00fch\u00fc Keyho, president, Chakhesang Public Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
S\u00fcmi Hoho vice president Otova Chishi read out greetings message from S\u00fcmi Hoho president Dr. Vihuto As\u00fcmi. G. Kaito Aye, Minister for PWD (R&B) and Kuzhol\u00fczo (Azo) Nienu, MLA & Leader of NPF Leg-islature Party spoke on behalf of S\u00fcmi legislators and Chakhesang legislators respectively. Kashito Yepthomi, Advisor, S\u00fcmi K\u00fckami Hoho and Z. Lohe, former speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly also exhorted the gathering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme also witnessed short speeches from S\u00fcmi Officers\u2019 Union Nagaland and Chakhe-sang Gazetted Officers\u2019 Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meet also marked by exchange of souvenir between Chakhesang Public Organization & S\u00fcmi Hoho, Chakhesang legislators & S\u00fcmi legislators, Chakhesang Gazetted Officers\u2019 Association & S\u00fcmi Officers\u2019 Union Nagaland, Phek District GBs Association & S\u00fcmi K\u00fckami Hoho, Chakhesang Mothers\u2019 Association & S\u00fcmi Totimi Hoho, Chakhesang Youth Front & S\u00fcmi Youth Organization, Chakhesang Students\u2019 Union & All S\u00fcmi Students\u2019 Union and Western Chakhesang Hoho & West-ern S\u00fcmi Hoho.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
