Reflecting on the achievements of the past year, he lauded the society\u2019s resilience in providing humanitarian aid amid challenges such as natural disasters and conflicts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The Governor emphasized the spirit of giving, which he described as the essence of the Red Cross. He acknowledged the contributions of members and volunteers, whose acts of selflessness have made a significant impact on communities across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>He also praised the leadership of General Secretary of the Nagaland State Branch Akhale V. Khamo, for her instrumental role in expanding the organization\u2019s reach by establishing new branches in Shamator, Niuland, and Ch\u00fcmoukedima, as well as sub-branches in Jalukie and Peren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her efforts during the Manipur relief operations were particularly commended. Additionally, the contributions of Helena Yepthomi were highlighted for their inspirational impact on the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The Governor outlined future priorities for the IRCS Nagaland, including the proposed Rehabilitation Centre for Alcoholics and Drug Addicts in Kohima. He called on corporate organizations to support this initiative through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also emphasized the need to strengthen disaster preparedness, build branch capacity, and engage youth to ensure the sustainability of the Red Cross\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cThe Red Cross remains a symbol of neutrality and impartiality, transcending barriers of race, religion, and politics. It is our duty to uphold these principles as we serve humanity with empathy and determination,\u201d the Governor stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>During the event, the Governor presented decorations to Patrons and Vice Patrons and awards to the Voluntary Blood Donors Association, Helena Yepthomi, and the Peren District for their outstanding contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The Governor also launched a Blood App, developed by Rishav Sethi, aimed at enhancing the organization\u2019s capacity to manage blood donations effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The Governor urged the members, volunteers, and patrons to continue their work with renewed energy and purpose.
