A one-day 3rd Inter Departmental Sports Meet was organised under the aegis of the Subdivision District Planning & Development Board (SDDPDB) at public groun,d Pughoboto under Zunheboto District on November 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a DIPR report, emerging as the winner of the men\u2019s carrom and the runner-up of the women\u2019s penalty shootout, Agri Department bagged the overall championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rural Development (RD) Department won the men\u2019s penalty shootout while the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) won the women\u2019s penalty shootout. A total of 140 participants from 17 government departments participated in the sports event which included Carrom and Penalty Shootout for men and penalty shootout for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event brought together various Government departments in grand celebration of sports and games. Speaking at the inaugural programme, ADC Pughoboto, Tiameren Chang, exhorted on the importance of sports for good health and mind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also said that the event is a good opportunity for government employees to get to know each other which will foster better work culture and coordination within as well as amongst the various departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the inaugural programme, the functional manager, Industry, Hekato K Jimo presented a special song while the pastor Police Baptist Fellowship Pughoboto, Mughato Zhimo blessed the event with a benediction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
