The event was organized by the Department of Youth Resources &amp; Sports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In the men\u2019s category, the Angami tribe emerged victorious and the Garo tribe claimed second place while the Konyak tribe secured third place. In the women\u2019s category, the Angami tribe again claimed the top spot. The Sangtam tribe took second place and the Kachari tribe came in third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Tug of War, a traditional Naga sport, is known for its ability to strengthen bonds within communities and elevate participants to compete at various levels, including State, National, and International events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition brought together tribal troupes, with eight participants from each tribe representing the diverse tribes of Nagaland, coming from different districts to showcase their skills.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The traditional Naga-style Tug of War competition was held on December 5, at the main arena of the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, as part of the ongoing 25th Edition of the Hornbill Festival.
