{"id":461517,"date":"2024-12-11T01:16:04","date_gmt":"2024-12-10T19:46:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=461517"},"modified":"2024-12-11T14:06:48","modified_gmt":"2024-12-11T08:36:48","slug":"hipfest-winners-felicitated-at-kisama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2024\/12\/11\/hipfest-winners-felicitated-at-kisama\/","title":{"rendered":"HIPFEST winners felicitated at Kisama"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The winners of the Hornbill Photography Festival (HIPFEST) were felicitated during a brief official ceremony held at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, on December 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The Special Guest, Director of the Art and Culture Department, Adela Moa, congratulated the winners and expressed her admiration for the powerful and meaningful photographs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She highlighted how each image told a unique story, offering visitors of the Hornbill Festival a glimpse into the life, culture, and traditions of the Naga people. Moa also extended her gratitude to the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) for sponsoring the event, and hoped that HIPFEST would continue to grow in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The winners were presented with certificates and cash awards by Moa. Ato Mor claimed first place, followed by Viketso Meyase in second and Parvej Akhtar in third. The first-place winner received a cash prize of Rs. 40,000, while the second and third-place winners took home Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In the category awards, Keyi Putlang won for Best Portrait, Sashikala Jami received the Best Landscape Photograph award, and Neilar Mepfhuo was recognized for Best Wildlife Photograph. Each of the category winners received a certificate and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Photojournalist Kekhriezhazo Miachieo, speaking on behalf of the judges, shared that the photos were evaluated based on lighting, depth, and composition, and noted the difficulty in selecting the winners from such a high standard of entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Ababe Ezung, Proprietor of Portrait Studio, thanked all participants for their contributions, stating that everyone was a winner. He also expressed his appreciation to the Department of IPR for co-hosting the event and hoped the collaboration would result in a larger and more successful HIPFEST in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Participants of HIPFEST 2024 who have not yet collected their certificates are requested to visit Portrait Studio in Dimapur, near City Tower, for collection.
