{"id":461710,"date":"2024-12-12T01:53:37","date_gmt":"2024-12-11T20:23:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=461710"},"modified":"2024-12-12T01:53:38","modified_gmt":"2024-12-11T20:23:38","slug":"bryan-adams-serenades-fans-straight-from-the-heart-in-shillong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2024\/12\/12\/bryan-adams-serenades-fans-straight-from-the-heart-in-shillong\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryan Adams serenades fans \u2018straight from the heart\u2019 in Shillong"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thousands of fans danced and sang in chorus with the legendary Canadian singer and songwriter Bryan Adams on Tuesday evening before a packed stadium here in Meghalaya\u2019s, India\u2019s \u2018rock capital\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>This was the first ever visit to the North East by the 65-year-old Bryan Adams as he began his second leg of India tour concert \u201cSo Happy It Hurts.\u201d An estimated 30,000 people thronged the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium as Bryan Adams belted out his signature romantic ballads for close to two hours in the wintry temperature that stayed in a single digit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cIt was a lifetime experience\u2026never expected Bryan Adams to come and perform in Shillong land the performance was simply electric,\u201d Paul Rickman Kharmujai, a diehard fan of Bryan Adams, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Bryan sang from a set-list of 18 popular songs for about two-hours with fans singing these numbers like anthems from the lanes of nostalgia. From his romantic numbers like \u201cEverything I do I do it for you\u201d, \u201cHeaven\u201d, \u201cCuts like a Knife\u201d, \u201cHere I am\u201d, \u201cPlease Forgive me\u201d, and many others and ended the memorable concert with \u201cStraight from the Heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The Canadian singer, one of the most popular western musicians in India, almost like some \u201cBryan Bhaiya\u201d singing, \u201cSummer of 69\u201d, which Rolling Stone magazine once dubbed it as \u201calmost a Hindi song now!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>During the concert, Bryan mentioned his mother and said she sends her love to the fans across Meghalaya. He dedicated a song for her and also for his father, who passed away recently, during the concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cMy father passed away recently and I have written this song Shine a Light in his memory,\u201d Bryan said after which fans switched on their mobile flashlights and swayed these in the air turning the whole concert arena into some sort of garden filled with fireflies swaying to the music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cI am telling you straight from the heart it was a grand show.
