\nThe federation also demanded setting up of teachers\u2019 training centres in all DC and ADC headquarters in the four districts of Mon, Tuensang, Kiphire and Longleng, before implementation of the new recruitment policy in the four districts.
\nENSF president YP Chillio Khiam in a press said the Federation had earlier on July 11, 2008, submitted an ultimatum to the chief secretary demanding revocation of the new teachers\u2019 recruitment policy made during the President\u2019s Rule in the State.
\nThe federation in the memorandum sought ten years relaxation for the people of the four backward districts so that the \u201cbackward educated unemployed youth\u201d could also get training to qualify as teachers.
\n\u201cBefore the deadline of ENSF ultimatum, the State cabinet had considered our demand with certain relaxation for the six backward tribes to get appointed as teacher and also get training within the relaxed period, but there is no official intimation to the ENSF office till now,\u201d the federation said.
\nIn the meantime, ENSF said the Director, SCERT, had issued a press release notifying that the State government would be enforcing the new teachers\u2019 recruitment policy, thereby \u201cdirectly rejecting the ENSF genuine demand.\u201d
\nAsserting that the federation would not compromise on its demand, ENSF informed all its federating units to be prepared to undertake any agitation till the demand was fulfilled.
\nENSF also cautioned that the government and SCERT department would bear sole responsibility for any untoward incident that might arise in the course of the agitation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
