{"id":463208,"date":"2024-12-27T13:17:47","date_gmt":"2024-12-27T07:47:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=463208"},"modified":"2024-12-27T13:17:49","modified_gmt":"2024-12-27T07:47:49","slug":"nagaland-3-student-bodies-sign-mou-to-foster-ties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2024\/12\/27\/nagaland-3-student-bodies-sign-mou-to-foster-ties\/","title":{"rendered":"Nagaland: 3 student bodies sign MoU to foster ties"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All Pangsha Students Union, Tobu Area Students\u2019 Union and Naga Students\u2019 Organisation-Myanmar have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to maintain strong relationship \u201cas one brotherhood and for peaceful coexistence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The MoU was signed during the 1st general session of APSU held at its ITC Dan HQ, Noklak district from December 18-20, 2024 on the theme \u201ctranscend &amp; transform.\u201d Recognising the importance of enhancing relationship and peace, the three student bodies agreed on free movement, joint venture on developmental activities, to keep on check against any illegal activities and maintain ITC Dan as a peace zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Free movement: The three student bodies strongly condemned the scrapping of free movement regie (FMR) and strongly oppose the proposed border fencing in their jurisdiction.<br>They agreed to uphold and enhance the existing Free Movement to ensure the existence of brotherhood. \u201cWe shall not impose barrier that may hinder the mutual benefits of free movement,\u201d they affirmed.<br>The organisations also agreed that no restriction of movement would be imposed within the East-West stretch of Naga areas \u201cconsidering the brotherhood relationship of Nagas as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Joint venture on developmental activities: The organisations agreed to work and extend cooperation for enhancement of developmental activities from all the three parties.<br>To keep on check against any illegal activities: Recognising the harmful impact of illegal drug activities, they agreed to cooperate in eradicating anti-social activities and protect eco environment and address accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Meanwhile, the three bodies affirmed to maintain International Trade Centre (ITC) Dan as a peace zone for better benefit concerning all the parties.
