Sankaranarayanan would grace the regional seminar on \u2018Training of Un-trained Teachers in North East India: Issues and Challenges\u2019 as the chief guest on March 13 at ATI Auditorium, Kohima at 11 a.m. Registration and distribution of programme for participants will start at 10 a.m.  According to an official bulletin, the programme would be jointly organized by IGNOU Regional Centre, Kohima and State Council of Educational Research &#038; Training (SCERT), Kohima sponsored by Education Development of North East Region Unit (EDNERU) IGNOU, New Delhi.  The progamme would be chaired by Director SCERT, Nagaland, Vipralhou Kesiezhie while welcome address and keynote address will delivered by Regional Director IGNOU RC Kohima, Dr. T. Iralu and Director School of Education IGNOU, New Delhi, Prof. M.L. Koul respectively. In the valedictory session OSD, NIVET, Shillong, Dr. A.S. Guha would chair the function.<br \/>\nState BJP supports Naga reconciliation<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has welcomed \u201csincere and serious\u201d efforts of Political Affairs Committee (PAC), Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) and DAN government in organizing Naga Consultative Meet (NCM) with overseas Nagas and other apex organization leaders. It said that the theme \u201cone dream one future\u201d which was aimed to find an acceptable solution through the reconciliation of Nagas was historic moment. \u201cThis consultative meet is organized at the most needed hour and it will surely ignite greater positive momentum to the ongoing efforts of reconciliation,\u201d State BJP president, Ato Yepthomi said in a letter addressed to NCM chairman. The BJP said it reaffirms commitment towards the peace process to the ongoing efforts to bring forgiveness and reconciliation amongst various groups.<br \/>\nPGHS Pughoboto sans assistant head master<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: Pughoboto Phugi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (PPKK) in a representation to the director, directorate of school education stated that government high school Pughoboto has been functioning for quite sometime without an assistant head master. President PPKK Hukato Sheqi and general secretay PPKK, Peter Wotsa in a press communiqu\u00e9 said Hoketo Kiho was appointed assistant head master on June 16, 2007 following a letter written to director, school education on May 25 2006. However the release said he was transferred after four months against promotion posting as headmaster in Phek district. In spite of forwarding representation for re-deployment of assistant head master to principal secretary to the government of Nagaland and repeated request by the staff and students\u2019 union, PPKK stated \u201ctill date\u201d no assistant head master has been deployed in the school.
