Longon, minister for soil and water conservation and land resources development graced the occasion as chief guest and Mhasizokho Zinyi\u00fc, president Angami Public Organization (APO) as guest of honour.<br \/>\nMinister for Forest and Excise Mr. MC Konyak , S. Heno , parliamentary secretary , fisheries and printing and stationeries , relief and rehabilitation , tribal leaders, ENPO, ENSF also attended the festival. Representatives from 126 Khiamniungam villages under Myanmar (Burma) and 32 villages under India in togetherness celebrated the festival.<br \/>\nAccording to a press release issued by M. Puthothai, former general secretary, KTC and M. Thangou, former vice president KTC the festival was the largest function ever held at sub-division Noklak where more than ten thousand people gathered on that day, presenting cultural dances, displaying of village feuds, war dances songs of merry making and modern songs.<br \/>\nMeanwhile the Khiamniungam Tribal Council (KTC) has expressed gratitude to all Khiamniungam public, from Burma and India, government servants led by ADC, invitee of different tribes, NGO&#8217;s, church  leaders, departmental  officials , guest of  honour ,chief guest  for the successful celebration of Tsokum  festival.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The most important festival of Khiamniungam tribe &#8211; Tsokum was celebrated on October 18 at public ground, Noklak town.
