Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Nagaland K. G. Kenye expounded on the importance of unity amongst the Chakhesang community stating \u201cwhere there is unity, there is victory.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister was speaking at the inaugural programme of the 27th Biennial Sports Meet of the Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation at Jalukie Zangdi, Peren district on Monday as the special guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also emphasized on putting God first as it is only through His grace, one can experience breakthrough and victory. Stating that their forefathers have indeed, encountered fierce competition to build a strong community in the western areas, the minister further stated that fostering peace and upholding communal harmony with the neighbouring villages from other communities is a must for further peaceful coexistence and healthier progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kenye also underscored unity amongst the community as a crucial factor for building good leadership while adding that forfeiting unity can lead to their downfall. \u201cThe presence of peace and unity amongst our community is the way to move forward and excel beyond,\u201d he stated, while encouraging the Chakhesang community in the Western areas to be ambassadors of the same unique traits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister also appreciated the Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation for successfully organising the 27th Biennial Sport\u2019s Meet and further asserted that there are many scopes in sporting avenues if one is committed enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further affirmed that winning is not the ultimate goal but participating with good team spirit should become a priority as it can lay the foundation to scale greater heights, where the sky is the only limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Vesakho Tetseo while senior pastor CBC Diphupar, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, invoked God\u2019s blessings. President of WCYO Wekupe Therie delivered the welcome address while president of Phek District Sports Association Nezosa Tetseo delivered the greetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, VCC of Jalukie Zangdi, Bedusai Thuluo, and president of Western Chakhesang Hoho, Dr. Chisoi Khusoh, delivered short speeches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With 17 units participating in the event, the event will conclude on January 11 with Leader of NPF Legislature Party Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA as the guest of honor for the closing ceremony.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
