He also reminded them of the biblical instruction to parents \u201c to train up their child\u201d in Godliness since the mother then the father, are the first teachers of a child before being sent to school.<br \/>\nAccording to the chief guest, both parents and teachers share the responsibility of development of the spiritual, mental and physical faculties of the children.<br \/>\nHe said in a world where excellence is the keyword, both parents as well as teachers need to also update  themselves to the changing environment  .<br \/>\nWhile admitting the academic excellence was a critical necessity, Yaden however said a holistically developed child will always have an edge in a highly competitive world.<br \/>\nUnderlining the theme of the programme, \u2018teachers are the helpers, parents are the moulders\u2019, he encouraged frequent teacher-parent interactions in order to ascertain the progress of the child<br \/>\n He also encouraged teachers to be loyal to their school and parents to feel part of the establishment so as to create a conducive educational environment.<br \/>\n The Editor also lauded  Rev Dr T. N Lotha, founder of the school who has been a pioneering figure in many other ministries. He hoped that the school would produce students to be spiritually deep rooted besides guiding them to achieve academic excellence.<br \/>\nAdditional district and sessions judge, Dimapur, V. Nyekha graced the programme as the guest of honour and also gave away prizes.<br \/>\nThe school annual report was presented by the headmaster, P.N. Sahay highlighting the academic and co-curricular activity achievements of the school.<br \/>\nEarlier the welcome address was delivered by the school principal, David Ngullie.<br \/>\nEarlier, the programme began after a prayer offered by Rev.Thungdemno Lotha, vice principal of Eastern Bible College.
