Diloo Dhar Memorial Open International FIDE Rating Chess Tournament concluded successfully on January 28 in Silchar, Assam. A total of 250 players from across the nation participated in the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Bovito from Satami Village secured an third position in the Under 1601 Category, earning 6 points. Veshosa Keyho from Dz\u00fclhami Village also made notable progress, securing the 21st position in the Unrated Category with 4 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In the Open Category, International Master Subhayan Kundu from Kolkata, West Bengal, emerged as the Champion with 8 points. International Master Kulkarni Vikramaditya from Mumbai, Maharashtra, claimed Second Place with 7.5 points, while Abhrojyoty Nath from Silchar, Assam, secured Third Place with 7.5 points. A total of 250 players from across the nation competed in the tournament, highlighting the growing popularity of chess in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>While, four Players from Nagaland, namely, Bovito, Veshosa Keyho, Keyung Haikam and Icicang Haikam participated in the tournament, Senior National Arbiter and Joint Secretary of the Nagaland Chess Association, Mengise Haikam officiated as Arbiter along with others in the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The Nagaland Chess Association is also gearing up to organize and host a number of Open Fide Rated Chess Tournaments in Nagaland this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 3rd Lt.
