Hangsing has regulated the following directives for the use of loudswpeakers in the election campaigns.<br \/>\nThe loudspeakers whether fitted on vehicles or in static position used for public meeting for electioneering purposes, shall be permitted only between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. in rural areas, between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. in other areas i.e. areas falling within municipal limits. All political parties, candidates and any other persons using any loudspeaker on moving vehicles should obtain prior written permission from DEO. Any vehicle on which a loudspeaker was used without the written permit should be certified for the loud speaker and all other operative used along with it.<br \/>\nThose using loud speakers on the moving vehicles or fixed place should obtain prior permission from competent authority and intimate the police in writing full detail of the permits obtained before using the loudspeakers, the DC said, adding, no loudspeakers fitted on vehicles of any kind or in any other manner whatsoever should be permitted to use during the period of 48 hours ending with the hour fixed by the authority in all polling areas.
