Longon urged the people of Khiamniungan tribe to preserve culture in order to keep it alive.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion as chief guest at Tsokum Suami festival of the Khiamniungan Wednesday, at local ground, Noklak, Longon asserted that a culture is a mark of reconciliation towards the Khiamniungan in particular and Nagas in general and asked the people to uphold the culture in a proper way for the survival of the Naga society.<br \/>\n\u201cWithout peaceful environment\u201d, there can be no development he said adding, we must cooperate with each other in order to get a positive response in near future. Longon called upon the people to join hands together and strive for the better development in the remote areas.<br \/>\nMhasizokho Ziny\u00fc, president of Angami Public Organization (APO) said Tsokum \u201cis a progress and prosperity towards humanity\u201d He also called upon the Khiamniungans to bring about peace and unity through the festival of Tsokum.<br \/>\nWhile expressing regret to the people of Naga Burma who suffered for a long period due to lack of developmental activities, Ziny\u00fc urged the state government to look into the matter. He also appealed to the Naga Hoho, all tribal council and all right thinking citizens to touch \u201cour Naga nation with a common hope of vision\u201d<br \/>\nHundreds of Myanmar  Nagas living in bordering areas turned up at the festival programme. Tsokum festival signifies unity and peace as well as prosperity in agriculture.<br \/>\nThe festival was marked by presentation of cultural dances and songs from different villages living in the eastern part of Myanmar. Besides dignitaries, the programme was attended by all head council including ENPO, ENSF, Konyak Union, PPC, YTC, USLB and CKS, S.
