I learn that there isn\u2019t a lot of information (suiting our soil) available on non-native trees and seeds, such as Red and White sandalwood. Does Forest Dept. allow the cultivation of sandalwood? Do I need permission from the DFO? Who is going to buy it, and what is the price in the current market? In the early stages of the plantation, can a grower expect assistance from the relevant department? Although there are many sources on YouTube channels, I found them to be contradictory, ambiguous, and inconsistent. This variation, I assume, is related to geographic location and the influence of climate on particular region. The relevant department can employ a media that farmers are familiar with, such as Nagamese for optimal benefit, much like mainland India, where farm-related information is broadcast on local news channels.<br>Mika K.
