{"id":470208,"date":"2025-02-11T01:53:06","date_gmt":"2025-02-10T20:23:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=470208"},"modified":"2025-02-11T01:53:09","modified_gmt":"2025-02-10T20:23:09","slug":"organisations-flay-killing-of-woman-by-husband","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2025\/02\/11\/organisations-flay-killing-of-woman-by-husband\/","title":{"rendered":"Organisations flay killing of woman by husband"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several organisations have strongly condemned the brutal killing of a woman by her husband identified as one Kughato Yeptho at Thilixu village, under Ch\u00fcmoukedima district, on February 9, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>NSCW: <\/strong>Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) through its chairperson W. Nginyeih Konyak asserted that such barbaric acts of violence against women were \u201cutterly unacceptable\u201d and deserved the harshest punishment under the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The commission stated that under the directions of its chairperson, it has taken suo moto cognizance of the incident and written a letter to commissioner of police, Dimapur seeking a swift and thorough investigation and ensure that justice was delivered without delay.<br>NSCW stated that violence within families undermined the fabric of the society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The commission said it stood firm in demanding accountability and justice for the victim and her grieving family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AUZ: <\/strong>Aquba Union Zunheboto (AUZ) expressed displeasure over the crime committed by Kughato Yeptho, saying it \u201cvehemently condemn this monstrous offense.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In a condemnation note, AUZ president Mughaho Asumi and general secretary Hokato Yepthomi appealed to the responsible authorities to book the accused under relevant sections of law and award exemplary punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Statting that women in the community were placed at the \u201chighest pedestal\u201d, AUZ said the domestic violence had \u201cabsolutely no place in our society\u201d. The union said that this \u201chorrendous incident\u201d was a harsh reminder of the pervasive issue of domestic violence that plagues the society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Expressing solidarity with the victim\u2019s family, AUZ also prayed for the departed soul to eternally rest in peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>KATK: <\/strong>Kulolau Aghunato Tokukujomi Kuqhakulu (KATK) strongly condemned the \u201cbrutal and senseless murder\u201d and said that \u201cthis act of violence is unacceptable and cannot be condoned.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>KATK through its vice chairman Otoka H Yeptho and secretary Mulato Katty also affirmed to stand in solidarity with the victim\u2019s family and loved ones during this difficult time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>KIK:<\/strong> Kulolau Imlo Tokujo Kuposhukulu (KIK) expressed deep shock at the \u201cbrutal murder\u201d and strongly condemned \u201cthis barbaric act\u201d, which it said was \u201cunacceptable\u201d and cannot be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In a condemnation note, KIK president Anito N Shohe general secretary Khetolu Katty said \u201cthis heinous crime has no place in this civilized society.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expressing solidarity with the victim\u2019s family and loved ones, the KIK demanded that the law enforcement authority leave no stone unturned to deliver justice without delay and give befitting punishment as per the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several organisations have strongly condemned the brutal killing of a woman by her husband identified as one Kughato Yeptho at Thilixu village, under Ch\u00fcmoukedima district, on February 9, 2025.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[679],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-470208","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-nagaland-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/470208","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=470208"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/470208\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=470208"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=470208"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=470208"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
