{"id":4708,"date":"2008-10-18T00:55:12","date_gmt":"2008-10-18T00:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2008\/10\/18\/revised-dr-for-pensioners\/"},"modified":"2008-10-18T00:55:12","modified_gmt":"2008-10-18T00:55:12","slug":"revised-dr-for-pensioners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2008\/10\/18\/revised-dr-for-pensioners\/","title":{"rendered":"Revised DR for pensioners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Nagaland Government has sanctioned revised the rate of dearness relief (DR) to its pensioners and family pensioners from the existing 47% to 54% of Basic Pension (BP) and Family Pension (FP) to compensate them for rise in cost of living, with effect from July 1, 2008.<br \/>\nAn office memorandum issued by principal secretary &#038; finance commissioner, Toshi Aier also stated that payment of dearness relief involving a fraction of a rupee shall be rounded off to the next higher rupee.<br \/>\nOther provisions governing dearness relief to the pensioners such as regulation of dearness relief in re-employment, regulation of dearness relief where more than one pension is drawn, etc., will remain unchanged, the memorandum stated.<br \/>\nThe finance commissioner requested authorized public sector banks, treasuries and sub-treasuries to arrange payment of dearness relief to the pensioners on the basis of the stated instructions. The memorandum also requested the accountant general (AG), Nagaland, to circulate the office memorandum to AGs of all states to facilitate Nagaland government pensioners drawing pension from other states.<br \/>\nThe rate of dearness relief announced by the State Government from time to time, with effect from January 1, 2006 to June 30, 2008, are as follows: January 1, 2006 (24%), July 1, 2006 (29%), January 1, 2007 (35%), July 1, 2007 (41%), January 1, 2008 (47%).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nagaland Government has sanctioned revised the rate of dearness relief (DR) to its pensioners and family pensioners from the existing 47% to 54% of Basic Pension (BP) and Family Pension (FP) to compensate them for rise in cost of living, with effect from July 1, 2008.
