\nNPCC in press release issued by media cell member Dr. K Hoshi said the admission of the Home minister was most unfortunate and humiliating to the people of Nagaland, and that the minister had stooped so low as to admit his \u201cfoot-in-the-mouth\u201d syndrome repeatedly which, the minister said, he was aware of.
\n\u201cThat shows that he had made the irresponsible utterances deliberately. Since a syndrome is a disease, there is no guarantee that the same foolish act shall not be repeated in future,\u201d the release stated.
\nNPCC said giving the gravity of the law and order situation in Nagaland, it was very risky for the State to be headed by a \u201cparanoid\u201d Home Minister, and demanded his resignation for bringing \u201cshame to the whole State\u201d and for \u201cdistressing the Hon\u2019ble chair of Home Minister.\u201d
\nNPCC also alleged this was not the first instance that Imchen had \u201cvenomously\u201d spoken out against the Fourth Estate. \u201cThough he had admitted his mistake publicly, he must be thinking and satisfied that his purpose had been served,\u201d it added. NPCC further said the Home minister\u2019s frequent \u201coff-board utterances also show that the Chief Minister is not keeping his house in order.\u201d
\nIt may be mentioned the Home minister stirred a hornet\u2019s nest when he accused the State media of indulging in \u201cyellow journalism\u201d during a joint meeting with district administration, police and business community October 21 last, to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in Dimapur.
\nThe Dimapur Press Club on October 22 demanded \u201cpublic apology\u201d from the Home minister for questioning the integrity of the State media.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
