\nDescribing the NPF as \u201cinfirmed\u201d, Paphino said Congress party members were discharging their responsibilities in accordance with the party policies while in the NPF, the \u201cleader-upmanship precedes commitment to work for the party.\u201d
\nOn the NPF statement attacking the President\u2019s rule and purportedly castigating the judgment of the Gauhati High Court on the issue of President\u2019s Rule in Nagaland , Paphino described it as \u201carbitrary and malafide\u201d .
\nThe NPPC warned that if Shilumar had made the statement after obtaining sanction from the NPF, then the party (NPF) would be held accountable for contempt of court. On the other hand, the NPPC said if Shilumar had expressed his personal opinion, it also revealed his \u201cheight of ignorance of constitutional propriety.\u201d
\nThe NPCC said the Gauhati High Court which heard the NPF petition challenging the imposition of President\u2019s rule, had termed the Speaker\u2019s action(in debarring independent MLAs to vote and not counting the votes of rebel members ) as \u201cillegal, unconstitutional, biases and hence malafide in every aspect.\u201d
\nStating that following the \u201chistoric defeat in the court\u201d after the landmark judgment, the NPCC said the action of the NPF in questioning the court\u2019s judgment was \u201c a very serious proposition\u201d as the party cast aspersions on the propriety of the High Court and the law of the land. The NPCC described the NPF reaction as \u201cdeliberate and ill-motivated\u201d and which \u201cwill not be very pleasant for the party.\u201d
\nFurther, the NPCC media cell, alleged that in an act similar to \u2018putting the last nail on the coffin\u2019, the NPF had reportedly expressed its \u201cintention to boycott or prevent the celebration of the Diamond jubilee of the Gauhati High Court in Nagaland.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
