The programme also aims to create awareness among youths about the various business scopes and increase employability qualities in them through training.<br \/>\nEditor, Nagaland Post, Geoffrey Yaden who exhorted the youths expounded on entrepreneurship as a concept to think differently. He said entrepreneurship was not about money but the concept where the &#8220;real part&#8221; lay in identifying oneself. &#8220;Business is what you do to serve people and also get returns&#8221;, he elucidated.<br \/>\nStating that many youths get &#8220;short circuited&#8221; while pursuing short cut job methods, he encouraged the participants to be focused and utilize their time in a judicious manner.<br \/>\nThe Editor, who observed that a sizeable number of the participants comprised of theology students encouraged them to be useful to the society so as to enable God to use them.<br \/>\nYaden, who is also the chairman of the LWC gave a brief background on the Centre. He said the objective of the LWC was to inspire and motivate people in various ways and at the same time keep them grounded in the word of God.<br \/>\nRegional Manager, Indo Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) Guwahati, Paul Lokho who gave an introduction to the entrepreneurship development motivation training said the programme was aimed to determine the latent business qualities and abilities in the youths.<br \/>\nSounding alert on the alarming rate of unemployment in the northeast which has now numbered to 31 lakh youths, he described the problem as &#8220;simmering danger&#8221; and said people were sitting on a time bomb. He also figured the number of unemployed youths in Nagaland as per 2006 census as 86, 000.<br \/>\nLokho said 30 million &#8220;green jobs&#8221; was set to be created by the third world countries by the year 2012.  He elaborated on the green jobs as &#8220;something to do with ecology&#8221; where youths would be roped in to spread awareness on the increasing global warming.<br \/>\nOn the first day, the participants of the programme were engaged in various self analysis and aptitude tests, social entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship development, business concepts, business management etc.<br \/>\nThey were made to fill questionnaires on the basis of which their entrepreneurial qualities were assessed. Group discussions were also held where the participants discussed on their aims and expectations.<br \/>\nHongkho, a graduate who also attended the two-day long programme hoped to immensely benefit from the motivation training.<br \/>\nAround 45 youths registered themselves for the entrepreneurship development motivation training.<br \/>\nOther objectives of the training programme included helping the youths to choose right careers, directing right person towards the right career, helping Nagaland youths to built enterprises etc.<br \/>\nThe training programme was organized by the IGSSS, Guwahati in collaboration with Sweet Dreams Consulting (SDC), LWC, Youth Collective and Youth Empowerment summit (YES) campaign.<br \/>\nIt may be mentioned, IGSSS is a development support organization and provides funds to NGOs to hone development skills of the youth.
