Day\u2019 NNPGs created to counter Framework Agreement: Tuccu<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

NSCN (I-M) yaruiwo Q Tuccu has alleged that the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) was formed as a counterweight to the Framework Agreement, using the Agreed Position with the intention of confusing the Naga people.
In a statement that was read out by GPRN\/NSCN vice-president Tongmeth Wangnao on the 46th Naga Republic Day celebrations at CHQ, Hebron, Tuccu accused the central government of employing divisive tactics for over 27 years to weaken the NSCN (I-M)\u2019s influence in Naga political negotiations.
He said it was ironical how the group was being blamed for delaying the Naga solution when the central government was delaying it.
He alleged that the Central government sought to fragment Naga unity by promoting factions and using them to undermine the NSCN (I-M)\u2019s stance, claiming that formation of the NNPGs was a direct result of this strategy, created to diminish the importance of the Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015, by introducing the Agreed Position to confuse the Naga people.
He however claimed that factions formed with the Centre\u2019s blessings stood nowhere in the negotiations, as they simply did not know how to negotiate in the manner demanded by the complexity of the Indo-Naga political conflict, reflected by the historical political rights of the Nagas. Speaking as the guest of honour, Naga Mothers\u2019 Association (NMA) president Vilanuo Angela Yhome highlighted the sacrifices made by Naga women and the urgent need for unity in resolving the Naga issue.
She said the Republic Day symbolised not only the long struggle of the Naga people but also the immense contributions of mothers and women who had dedicated their lives to the cause. She reiterated the NMA\u2019s longstanding call for peace and reconciliation, reminding the gathering that Naga mothers had initiated peace efforts under the slogan \u201cShed No More Blood\u201d and continued to push for a just resolution to the conflict.
She maintained that internal divisions among Nagas were one of the biggest threats to nationhood, and urged groups to set aside their differences and work towards a common future. She emphasised that peace process must involve all voices, including women, youth, and marginalised communities, to ensure a truly representative solution.
Expressing concern over continued militarisation in Naga areas, Yhome termed the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) as a pressing issue and called upon all Naga political groups to unite in demanding its repeal. She stressed that peace and security for Nagas could not be achieved without addressing human rights violations.
She expressed gratitude to Naga national workers for their perseverance, and prayed for wisdom and guidance for the leaders steering the Naga cause forward.
The programme was chaired by GPRN deputy secretary Moinyu T Wangnao, and PIB assistant director S Yurkhan Kapai, with CNC general secretary Rev Seksim Kasar leading the opening prayer.
Short speeches were also delivered by representatives of the Eastern Naga People\u2019s Organisation, United Naga Council, Naga People\u2019s Movement for Human Rights, Global Naga Forum, and Naga Students Federation, while special numbers were performed by GHQ Naga Army, and Wisiliu Newmai, followed by drill display by GFT HQ, Naga Army, and benediction offered by CHQ, Hebron, pastor Dijinbou Newmai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AP should be seen as a catalyst for positive change: Neokpao<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GPRN\/NSCN (U) president \u201cGen. (Retd.)\u201d MB Neokpao Konyak Friday said that the \u201cAgreed Position\u201d signed with the Government of India on November 17, 2017 should be seen as \u201ca catalyst for positive change in the entire geo-political landscape of the Nagas; a vehicle to secure a brighter future for generation to come.\u201d
In his message during the \u201c46th Naga Rupublic Day\u201d celebration programme at council headquarters Naga Unification Camp Khehoyi on March 21, 2025, GPRN\/NSCN president said \u201cemphasising unity as the pressing need of the hour\u201d was a stark reminder that decades of conflict have been wasted, adding that another generation cannot be lost to fighting.
Neokpao Konyak also reminded of the struggle and hardship Naga people have faced and encountered since the inception of Naga Nationalism under the umbrella of the NNC.
Giving a clarion call for unity, GPRN\/NSCN president urged all the revolutionary leaders to bridge the gap between tribes and groups and to shun the path of disunity and fragmentation that had hindered the progress towards Naga people\u2019s long cherished and shared goals.
GPRN\/NSCN through its MIP said his message echoes the chronology and history of countless revolutionaries and Naga people who have overcome incredible adversity to come to this stage.
Neokpao Konyak said their selfless sacrifices and contribution served as powerful reminder that even in the darkest of times, unity, perseverance and determination can overcome the most daunting challenges.
\u201cAs the Naga nation stands at the cusp of this new chapter,\u201d MIP said the president\u2019s clarion call served \u201cas a powerful reminder of the transformative potential that lies within the collective will of the people.\u201d
Earlier, the commemoration began with an unfurling of \u201cNaga National Flag\u201d by president \u201cGen. (Retd.)\u201d B. Neokpao Konyak with an invocation prayer by CHQ Church Associate Pastor Mankhe Konyak followed by an obituary report and Naga Army rank declaration.
MIP informed that the \u201csignificant event\u201d honoured and paid tribute to the fallen heroes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be only one solution: Kitovi<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GPRN\/NSCN ato kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi stressed that there will be only one political solution and agreement.
Delivering message on the present political scenario during \u201c46th Naga Republic Day\u201d celebration at 5th Mile Chumoukedima, N Kitovi Zhimomi said the Working Committee, signatories would uphold the \u201cAgreed Position\u201d till the end as no new negotiations were possible.
On the occasion, while delivering presidential speech, Maj. (Retd) R.M Lotha stressed that Government of India would bear sole responsibility for any fallout from delayed solution. He for called Naga unity to find peaceful solution to \u201cIndo-Naga\u201d conflict.
The programme was chaired by A.G secretary, F. Pongba Konyak and recorded by joint secretary, Renathung Lotha. The celebration was invoked by chaplin Nochotole Yosa followed by flag hoisting moment which was initiated by Maj. (Rtd) R.M Lotha.
Welcome address was delivered by kilo kilonser Hukavi Yepthomi, wherein he highlighted the importance of the 46th Republic Day celebration and its significance.
Special song was presented by Lansobeni Tungoe. Declaration of the army ranks and obituary report were given by keeya secretary Kuwoto Yesca followed by vote of thanks from secretary PR&NGO\u2019s Pikato Achumi. The benediction payer was offered by Asst. Chaplin Apong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naga unity foremost priority, says Starson<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Niki-led NSCN (K) observed the \u201c45th Naga Republic Day\u201d celebration in various places all across Naga land on March 21, 2025.
The occasion was observed in the People\u2019s Army of Nagaland GHQ, Suruhuto, Eastern Command base in Burmese Occupied Naga Lands, CFSB office premises, Padumpukhuri and in all 18 Regions, 2 Sub-Regions and 3 Affairs.
Gracing the celebration at CFSB premises as chief guest, ato kilonser NSCN\/GPRN, Starson Lamkang conveyed revolutionary greetings to all the National workers present.
He encouraged the gathering to be thankful to Almighty for His unwavering and unceasing support throughout the journey from inception till this day.
Remembering the patriotic deeds of the fallen heroes who sacrificed their precious lives for the just cause of the NSCN\/GPRN in particular and the Nagas in general, Starson urged the national workers to reaffirm and uphold the dreams and aspiration of the common Naga people.
Starson emphasised the importance of Naga unity, which he said was the foremost priority of the NSCN\/GPRN without which, the future the Nagas would be at stake.
He said it was imperative for all the Naga national parties along with the civil society groups to come together in unison to achieve the common aspiration of the Nagas.
