The 1st Passing out ceremony of Livingstone Foundation volleyball coaching centre was held on March 24 at Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) auditorium. The event was graced by district sports officer and district youth resources officer, Dimapur, N. Vineikholie, as the chief guest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During his brief address to the volleyball players who have recently completed their course, the chief guest called upon them to maintain the highest standards of discipline while also taking care of their daily habits including their diet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also motivated them by citing various initiatives of the government for encouraging sports and games including Catch Them Young and Khelo India which has been elemental in grooming young and talented sports enthusiasts from Nagaland and the North East. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He hoped that the setting up of Livingstone Foundation volleyball coaching centre at Dimapur would not only help in honing the skills of young volleyball players but would also provide a disciplined environment for nurturing them to represent the state and region at the national and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech, chairman of Livingstone Foundation International and president of the Livingstone volleyball coaching centre, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, profusely thanked the state government, especially the department of sports and youth resources for their support towards the setting up of the coaching centre and for partnering with them in developing the latent talents of the budding players. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also highlighted the emerging role of sports and games in career development whereby many athletes have been provided with lucrative opportunities by the government and their talents have been amply recognized.
