According to Additional secretary NLA, Pusanyu Angami the meeting has been convened in connection with the examination of the service rules. All members of the committee on subordinate legislation have been informed to attend the meeting.<br \/>\nEstimate committee meet<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: Meeting of the estimate committee, Nagaland has been convened on June 23 at 11 am at the New Assembly secretariat, committee room. According to NLA joint secretary, S. Ghunakha Swu adoption of 94th report (examination of home-police modernization scheme and insurgency related activities) would also be discussed at the meeting.<br \/>\nNU confers Ph.D<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: Vice-Chancellor, Nagaland University, has declared Bendangmenla as provisionally qualified for the degree of Ph.D in Botany from the university, for her thesis \u201cBiology and Application of Mycorrhizae in Reclamation of Wasteland in Nagaland\u201d which was supervised by Dr. (Mrs) Talijungla.<br \/>\nNUVC on eviction drive<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: Naga United Village Council (NUVC), while drawing the attention of its sympathizers of the village in connection with eviction drive in Intangki National Park has clarified its particulars in regard to the village. According to a press release issued by the village council chairman, Wezhiepe Lekro, the village was established in 1968, adhoc recognition in 1987 and was fully recognized in 1992. The chairman stated that the village fell under administrative jurisdiction of EAC Chumukedima, Dimapur and for which sympathizers need not panic as the village had \u201cno hand\u201d in the controversy.<br \/>\nNiuland teachers to continue sit-in protest<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: The aggrieved teachers under DIS Niuland have stated it would continue its sit-in-protest until the government releases their pending salaries. Vice-chairman of the convening body of teachers under DIS Niuland, Zakato, in a press release stated they had approach the human rights (NPMHR) to fight for their rights while also requested the chief minister to intervene and solve the issue at the earliest failing which it stated would approach the union government to look into the matter.<br \/>\nDC Tuensang refutes on eco blockade<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Tuensang Y.L Jami has refuted the report on economic blockade called by Yimchunger Akher\u00fc Arih-Ako. The DC responding to the news item issued by Yimchunger Akher\u00fc Arih-Ako in a local daily on June 17 under the caption \u2018Yimahunger Akher\u00fc Arih-Ako (YAA) response to DC Tuensang\u2019, clarified that indefinite economic blockade called by YAA was lifted in the evening of June 11 and there was no such indefinite economic blockade within Yimchunger area as \u201cdeliberately\u201d reported in a local daily on June 13. Also refuting the YAA statement on abducted leaders beaten \u201cblack and blue and head to toe\u201d, DC clarified no such incident occurred during the \u201creporting hour\u201d however, DC in a press release stated \u201cmisquoting caused regretted\u201d<br \/>\nSuhoi village expels member<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: The GB\u2019s of Suhoi village has expelled Akavi Assumi son of Hekhuvi Assumi of Suhoi village for a period of six months. A press statement issued by Suhoi Village Council Chairman Vihoshe P. Yeptho, and Suhoi village head GB,  Tokuho Neho informed that any act undertaken by Akavi within six months period or anyone dealing with him would be doing at his or her own responsibility.<br \/>\nPilot license training interview deferred<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: Interview and selection for undergoing commercial pilot license training scheduled on June 22 has been postponed. This was informed by Department of Transport &#038; Communication to all candidates who applied and submitted applications.<br \/>\nYimchunger Tribal Council meeting<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of executive council of Yimchunger Tribal Council has been convened on June 25 at its headquarter Shamator. Executive Council chairman Yansomong Showuba has requested all office bearers of Pungro Public Forum, Yimchunger Tribal Union Kiphire, Yimchunger Union Tuensang Town and Advisory Board of YTC to reach the venue at stipulated time.<br \/>\nKVSU inform hostel owners<br \/>\nKohima : The Kohima Village Students Union (KVSU) notified to all memberz that any establishment of Hostels within the jurisdiction of Kohima village should be done after acquiring a \u201cNo Objection Certificate (NOC) with prescribed terms and conditions. This notification would apply the same to all existing hostels, for which all owner \/ proprietors are requested to anticipate the notification without fail and register at union office on or before July 31.<br \/>\nDABA Lanur senden<br \/>\nDIMAPUR: The monthly Dimapur Ao Batist Arogo (DABA) Lanur senden has been convened on June 20 at 2 pm at Town fellowship. All youth under DABA above 25 years have been requested to attend the programme. For further details members have been informed to contact programme coordinator of respective fellowships.<br \/>\nDKE mourns<br \/>\nDimapur: Expressing shock and \u201cdisgraced\u201d over the road mishap near Longsa village Wokha on June 6, where one person identified as Ashemo Ezung was killed on the spot and three other injured seriously, the Dimapur Longsa Ekhung (DLE) urged the authority responsible whether the main culprit involved in the mishap was apprehended. DKE in a press joint statement by its chairman, Akum Ezung and general secretary, Chophathung Ezung pointed out that the competent authority was looking forward for all possible assistance to the victims as assured at the earliest.
