The announcement was made by Seyochung Village Students\u2019 Union (SVSU), Longtili C Sangtam at the cleanliness drive conducted in collaboration with the Government High School <strong>Seyochung <\/strong>Village at Singtra Valley on April 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>At the cleanliness drive, school students collected plastic and other waste materials from the valley, which were disposed at a designated site. Meanwhile, Longtili C Sangtam thanked the students and school authorities for their support and participation. He also delivered a brief awareness speech on the harmful effects of plastic on the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>He encouraged the use of eco-friendly alternatives like cloth or jute bags, paper straws, and reusable containers and bottles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>To support the initiative, the union will be installing separate bins for biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, promote composting of organic waste, and display posters encouraging plastic-free alternatives.
