Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima, conducted an \u201cExtension cum Outreach Activity\u201d at R\u00fcsoma village on April 26, 2025, under the theme \u201cViksit Bharat 2047: Thriving and Sustainable Economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative aimed to foster awareness of government schemes and promote inclusive growth within the rural community. Semester-II student and teachers from MITE, organized into 19 groups of five members each, engaged directly with households in R\u00fcsoma village. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through a survey questionnaire, the student teachers assessed the educational landscape of the families and their awareness of various government-provided schemes. Crucially, the students also provided valuable insights and information about relevant schemes that could benefit the villagers and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The outreach program revealed a commendable level of awareness regarding government schemes among the residents of R\u00fcsoma village. The impactful initiative underscores MITE\u2019s commitment to empowering rural communities and contributing to the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat) by 2047 through education, awareness dissemination, and inclusive development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Student Union of R\u00fcsoma village, the Village Council, and village elders extended cooperation, playing a vital role in the smooth and successful execution of the activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The program witnessed the active participation of key figures from MITE, including Dr. R Udhaya Mohan Babu (Program Coordinator), Ms. Kavani Hekha (IQAC Coordinator), Dr. Rajesh Babu Pammi (Assistant Professor), and Dr. Kate Dandes Kumar (Principal).
