The fourth phase of Chief Minister\u2019s Mobile Operation Theatre (CM-MOT) initiative was conducted at Tuensang District Hospital from April 25-26 and Tobu Community Health Centre on April 28, 2025 delivering critical surgical care to rural and remote areas of Nagaland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A team of skilled medical professionals performed 28 major surgeries in Tuensang and 48 in Tobu, offering life-changing treatment to patients. Notably, this marked the first-ever laparoscopic surgeries conducted in both locations, signifying a major advancement in local healthcare access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The medical camp addressed a wide range of conditions, including: paediatric cases: phimosis, hernia, genealogical procedures: uterine tumors, ovarian cysts, family planning, general surgeries: gallbladder stones, kidney stones, dental treatments: extractions, restorations, scaling, orthopaedic cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The camp was spearheaded by Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rh\u00fctso MLA Kohima Town and renowned laparoscopic surgeon in Northeast India, alongside a dedicated team of specialists: Dr. Kuotho T Nyuwi \u2013 Oncosurgeon and Laparoscopic Senior Surgeon (NIMSR), Dr. Rovino Kera \u2013 General Surgeon ,Dr. Keneilhoulie Medom \u2013 Anesthesiologist and MD, KOHIMAS Hospital, Dr. Lanu Mollier\u2013 Dentist<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was informed by the medical team that, Tobu MLA Naiba Konyak and local bodies extended their gratitude, highlighting the initiative\u2019s transformative impact on rural healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An official from CM-MOT stated, \u201cTheir presence reflects the community\u2019s deep appreciation for this initiative, which has become a beacon of healthcare excellence\u2014especially for remote populations who now receive advanced treatment at their doorstep.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CM-MOT was launched in January 26 by Nagaland governor, La Ganesan with the aim to provide advanced surgical and healthcare services to rural and remote areas of Nagaland. The first CM-MOT was held in Meluri district.
