The event was attended by senior party leaders, legislators, and citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the gathering, deputy chief minister and BLP leader, Y. Patton condemned the attack as a \u201cheinous act\u201d and an \u201cassault on peace, unity and national values.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said the incident had drawn international condemnation and had severely affected tourism in the Valley. He also stated that the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi was treating the matter with utmost seriousness and assured that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere can be no place for terrorism\u2014anywhere,\u201d Patton said, while expressing condolences to the bereaved families and praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Advisor Er. Kropol Vitsu, in his solidarity message, termed the attack \u201ca crime against humanity\u201d and said it underscored the need for collective national vigilance. Vitsu clarified that the tribute programme was initiated based on deputy CM Patton\u2019s suggestion and expressed concern that such acts, \u201cif not countered, will continue to endanger our people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also described the attack as backed by Pakistan and emphasized unity as the key to defeating barbaric violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Advisor Imkong L. Imchen reflected on the hymn \u201cIt Is Well With My Soul\u201d, which was sung during the programme, calling it a fitting tribute during national mourning. Describing the attack as a massacre by \u201cfanatically indoctrinated radical Islamic terrorists,\u201d Imchen said the choice of a major tourist site was aimed at drawing international attention. However, he asserted, \u201cThe emotional and rational core of the Indian nation stands united.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Imchen affirmed his faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, calling him the \u201ccaptain of the ship,\u201d and urged Nagas to stand with the rest of the country. \u201cIt is well with my soul,\u201d he declared, echoing the sentiment of defiance and national unity. Earlier, the programme was chaired by BJP chief spokesperson Thomas Magh, and Rev. A.
