This marks Hosoda\u2019s return to the big screen after his hit \u2018Belle,\u2019 which premiered at Cannes and became his highest-grossing film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sony Pictures, along with Studio Chizu and Nippon TV, has co-financed \u2018Scarlet,\u2019 with Sony handling the global release except for Japan, where Toho will release it, according to \u2018Deadline.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hosoda, an Oscar-nominated director known for films like \u201cWolf Children,\u201d \u201cSummer Wars,\u201d \u201cThe Girl Who Leapt Through Time,\u201d and \u201cMirai,\u201d co-founded Studio Chizu in 2011.
