{"id":485794,"date":"2025-05-05T01:02:51","date_gmt":"2025-05-04T19:32:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.com\/?p=485794"},"modified":"2025-05-05T11:38:37","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T06:08:37","slug":"cpo-bans-river-mining","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2025\/05\/05\/cpo-bans-river-mining\/","title":{"rendered":"Chakhroma Public Organisation bans river mining"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) has banned all types of mining activities in rivers under its jurisdiction, citing environmental concerns and the need for sustainable resource management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>In a press note, CPO president, Zhato Kimho and joint secretary, Noketho Charles Kikhi informed that the decision was adopted at the meeting of the CPO executive members held on May 1, 2025, at the CPO Hall in Ch\u00fcmoukedima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Therefore, CPO informed that the deadline has been set till end of October 2025 for all concerned parties comply with the directive and after which, the organization will collaborate with the appropriate authorities to enforce the ban as per the provisions of the law.
