Advisor for Water Resources, Tongpang Ozukum warned of the various western influences in many traditions and cultures of many indigenous communities, that should be heeded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He lauded the Kosanger Putu Menden whom he described\/regarded as visionary leaders, for hosting the Moatsu Festival, to preserve and value the rich tradition for the younger generation to learn and follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The invocation was said by LBA Pastor, Rev. T Toshi and benediction by LBA Christian Education Director while the vote of thanks was proposed by planning committee convenor, Imotoshi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Folk songs were presented by Longmisa Students Union, Mokokchung (LSUM) and Merenshilu & Temsula. He was speaking as the chief guest on the third day of the Ao Moatsu Festival<\/strong> celebration hosted by the Longmisa village council and planning committee of \u2018Longmisa Senso Moatsu Festival\u2019, at the Longmisa playground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tongpang Ozukum lauded the faculty, the students and the entire community of Government High School, Longmisa, for achieving cent percent pass rate in the recent HSLC examination. At the same time, Ozukum expressed that 2025 Moatsu Festival, as very special in his life, from day 1 to the 3rd day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While highlighting the significance of Moatsu, Ozukum stated that apart from seeking the blessings of God after sowing, it was also a time bond families, community and neighbours (villages). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the political front, Ozukum described Longmisa village as \u2018the Political Nerve Center\u2019, in the Angetyongpang Constituency of 12 units. He said that in politics, different ideologies and perspectives emerges but that Longmisa and Mongsenyimti, as villages, have had a long friendship of mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, a short speech was delivered by Longkong Village Council chairman, Onentiba.
The welcome address was delivered by council chairman, Merensosang while the significance of the festival was delivered by TT Toshitemsu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
