In his inaugural address, Dr. Yhome highlighted the need to restructure the school education system, especially in rural areas, to ensure that no child is left behind due to institutional barriers or social perceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>He expressed concern over low enrollment in village schools and emphasized that the government must not abandon them. At the same time, he pointed out the inefficiency of deploying multiple teachers for just a few students, calling for better resource management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>New Approach for Rural Schools<\/strong><br>Dr. Yhome announced that the department was working on a new plan to help students in rural schools continue their education smoothly from primary to high school. He criticized the trend of government school students struggling to secure admission in higher classes because private school students fill up the available seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\u201cThere will be no discrimination based on academic results. We will prioritize our students,\u201d he assured. Dr Yhome urged parents to trust government schools, challenging the common belief that they are only for low-income families. He pointed out that many families borrow money to send their children to private schools, which are sometimes located in unsafe, cramped areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>He warned that some private schools pose serious risks, such as fire hazards and unqualified teachers, and announced that private schools may lose their permits if they do not ensure their teachers complete their B.Ed qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Dr. Yhome further assured that the government was working to provide safe infrastructure and quality education. He revealed plans for a new, well-built school in Mayangnokcha, aiming to restore the glory of government schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The inaugural programme was chaired by Kikruneinuo Liezietsu, with an invocation by Vizosielie Ts\u00fcrho, assistant pastor of CRC Bethesda.<br>The welcome address was delivered by assistant headmaster Vedusa and a welcome song by Class 8 and 9 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The vote of thanks was delivered by Khinyi Woch, chairman of Bayav\u00fc Panchayat Area, and the event concluded with a benediction by pastor Neichalie Chadi of the Central Baptist Church.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Government High School (GHS) Bayav\u00fc was inaugurated on Wednesday, by advisor for School Education and SCERT, Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome.
